It takes up to 28 days for a referendum to pass, then you have to add 7 days confirmation and if let's assume the confirmation ends on the first day of a new spending period you have to wait another 24 days. From what I've heard this choice of 24 days is completely arbitrary but it seems to create a lot of problems because it takes like 2 months to receive funds from when I referendum is initiated if you're unlucky with the spending period. So why create this extra uncertainty? I would suggest to reduce the spending period to the shortest possible time, if it's one day it's great, if it's not possible maybe to 1 week?
